It is said that the two most famous groundhogs in the world are , Punxsutawney Phill, and " Smith Lake Jake" Alabamas groundhog. Smith lake jake does a television show in Birmingham, and predicts every groundhog's day for Alabama,with fox 6 new's. and others. SLJ has Sherman williams paint named after her. It is said that SML is a girl groundhog,and she always wears a hat. She is the cutest groundhog ever.She has her own groundhogs song that is sang every groundhog's day on different radio stations throught Alabama. She does parades and much more always wearing a colorful little hat on her little furry head. Smith Lake Jake was on the American Idol 2006. And predicts for them.S HE IS TALKED ABOUT AND LOVED THROUGHOUT THE SOUTH, AND HAS BEEN IN MANY MAGAZINES AND NEWS PAPERS. SHE PERFORMS AT THE BIRMINGHAM ZOO ON GROUNDHOG'S DAY. YOU need her on your list for sure, and you can go under Smith Lake Living magazine, and pull up her picture . you gotta check it out.On the national news last year said, PUNXSUTAWNEY PHILL has been named king of all groundhog's, and SMITH LAKE JAKE IS THE QUEEN of all groundhog's. you need to put her picture on your page, just too cut.
